My Story With CAT 3

One thing I have to mention separately, meeting “Yara”…

It was on the first meeting for me with the CAT guys, she was there and it’s unusual to find girls interested in that field and real astonishing is to find them active and brilliant. But “yara” was and she grabbed my attention directly because of her well organization and she is extraordinarily smart. I got to know her more by the time and she was the best work companion for me ever, she was effective in every idea or cooperation she does. I even thought that she was the best girl I’ve ever “worked” with or will work with.

If I made my own business, I’ll love to have her working for me because she is really an added-value for any company, may Allah bless her and show her the way to success ever after isA.

So, After having some courses plans to be launched in the college I got a rising demand for Linux courses at “Origin” and that was great because it helped me develop excellent relationships and helped me deliver my “freedom” message through an enormous number of courses. By this time I got busier and busier because I was managing too many things at the same time (as usual).

At that stage I was adopting the marketing plan for the CAT and I’d helped alot organizing work between the brilliant guys and by time I got to know “Abdalla” more and more and our relationship developed and we were having more time together.
Also samer, he was brilliant but hard to convince mate and he admitted it once :) He is always talking before thinking deeply about the others opinions and what I really loved about samer that he can easily say that he had that bad habit and he can easily admit his bad merits amazingly. I loved to see this and I learned alot from that attitude.

At this time we were finishing the year and we couldn’t arrange another scope but we made a very special session called “About Us” and it was amaaaaaazing really (one of the best sessions I’ve attended), because we had many meetings before it to think about the future plans and organizations and I can show you a photo that have “Ahmed Abdalla” while suggesting a plan and organization for the whole team… see the map on the board to know how complicated things were…

Ahmed Abdalla About Us

And I was the presentation arranger, I suggested that all the presenters come to stage and we demonstrate each component separately and every component manager speaks about his point and we should be standing with order speaking order so that the microphone is moved sequentially. Yara did a great job really in doing the slides and I remember that she talked about how to register in Hackers and she said an incorrect word that made me in an urge to laugh, I don’t remember that word exactly (thanks goes to my short memory). The nice thing is when you see the photo for attendees you’ll find them today’s members and if not managers, even the current CAT coordinator “Ayman Taher” (for this year 2007) is sitting among the audience.

About Us Audience

This photo has many words to describe:

It has “Nano” watching and listening and she was always encouraging and supportive along the way. It has my father, it was his first/last session to attend to me and he was extremely happy that he said on public that I was about to lose my educational position because of computers :)

Well, After this event CAT changed dramatically and some things went right and a few things went very bad, tomorrow I’ll resume…

Just let me just show you this amazing photo for the original team who’ve relaunched CAT

talta we rab3a Computer and Control plus elective courses from their and graduation project, ” we were electronics ” is not really right because it was common basics between the 2 departments but if you continued talta we rab3a in electronics and communications like me there is a difference, by the way as the 2 departments are not the same they are also not enemies, or else you could work VHDL coder in Mentor Graphics or SWS, which is clear from their employers and contractors that they hire Electronics Engineers only not even Communications one, “el ta5asos” is well known in our department even that the first graduation project compile each of comm. and electronics was the first in EED 2005 by some of my friends. don’t judge the “ta5asos” from the point of view of our faculty in dividing the departments, my words came out as a resultant experience in such companies and from my sister which is a mentor employee now.

    it’s ok while I didn’t “judge” anything!

anyhow, I’m computer engineer and I didn’t claim to be electronics one ever!
you are taking this too sensitive ya man, weird though!

Wow, very wonderful topics about the CAT Ahmed. Really I love them, it even inspired me to write about my own part in this story :) . You were and will always be different and initiative. Let me just say that the knowing you , the CAT and my Marwa are TRULY the ONLY things that made me not regret joining Mansoura University, I swear some times when I think about what would have happened if I joined the AUC for example, then I say “I wouldn’t have met all of you ” .
Basyouni, what’s your problem ?!! you’re being too sensitive. Cool up ya man ;)
