قانون المرور الجديد - حلم و اصبح سراب
على الرغم من ان المعارضين للقانون ده كتير قوى بطريقة تخليك مكسوف تقول انك مأيدو ، بس انا فعلاً مأيده و بشكل كبير جداً كمان لكن بعد شوية تركيز كده بدأ رأيي يتغير و هقوللكو لييييه
القصة و ما فيها اني مخنوق بشكل رهيب من المرور في القاهرة، مش بس عشان الزحمة بس عشان انا بحب احافظ على العربية بتاعتي جداً و دة شئ مستحيل في القاهرة عشان مفيش اي قانون للسواقة، الموضوع كلو عباره عن عشوائية تامة و بعد شوية دراسة كدة اكتشفت ان المشكلة اني بحاول دايما اسوق باحترام و التزم بالحارة المرورية بتاعتي لكن اكتشفت ان دة من سابع المستحيلااااات لآن لازم يطلعلك حد ماشي بمنتهى البطئ في الشمال او عربية نقل بتتمخطر ف تضطر انك تنقل على حاره تانيه و دي في حد ذاتها مشكلة لآن الناس اللي على اليمين مايعرفوش ان من حقك تنقل للحاره الايمن من غير ماتستأذن لكن تلاقي كل الناس بتزمر و كانك لو جيت قدامه هيتأخر على المعاد اللي وراه ساعتين
يا جماعة انا كل اللي بحلم بيه اني اتبع القانون و نمشي في امان م لازم تبقى عملية السواقة عملية محفوفة بالمخاطر قوي كدة دة غير الضغط النفسي و العصبي الرهيب اللي بتشوفو كل يوم
طبعاً القانون الجديد المفروض انه رادع و هيمنع اي حد انه يغلط و يسوق بالطريقة المتخلفة اللي الناس بتسوق بيها و كأن اللي نازل مشوار دة بيتحدى العالم انه اصيع و اسرع سواق في العالم و لكن اللي انا شفته خلال اليومين اللي فاتو دول ان مفيش اي تغيير حصل و حتى الناس مش خايفة و كل الناس بتقوللك ان هما عاملين القانون دة عششان يلمو فلوش شنطة الاسعاف و المثلث اللي انا شايفهم مفيدين جداً على عكس ناس كتير و محدش غير طريقة السواقة و برضو فضل دوري في الطريق اني احاول بكل قدراتي العقلية و النفسيه اني اتجنب كمية الاغبياء اللي اتحطت تحتهم عربيات و احاول اوصل البيت من غير اي مشاكل نفسيه او اضرار بالعربية
و بعة ماركزت شوية لقيت ان القانون مش بيعمل اي حاجه لها علاقة بآداب المرور و الحارة المرورية و لا حتى استخدام الكالاكس بشكل همجي و مزعج و لا اي حاجه ن الحاجات اللي بيتضايقني، كلها شوية غرامات و عقوبات على نفس الحاجات اللي كان المرور بياكل منها عيش، هما تقريباً عايزين يخلوا العيش ده جاتوه تقريباً
يمكن انا حكمت على القانون بدري قوي بس قولولي رأيكم؟ ازززززززاي نخلي المرور في مصر محترم و نضيف و اماااااااااااااااااااان زي اوروبا؟

There were no real problem with the traffic LAWs in Egypt. The problem lies in ENFORCING them. It’d already been illegal to drive in the opposite direction for example, and I don’t care how much the penalty was.. even if it were 50 pounds, it would have been enough to make your average cab or microbus driver to spend a whole extra hour on the right side before thinking to take a 30-second shortcut. 50 pounds would have been enough IF there was REAL traffic police presence and actual ENFORCEMENT of the law.
To change the horrible state of traffic in Cairo requires a whole change in CULTURE and a government initiative which is SERIOUS to make real changes and not just aiming to increase the yearly income from penalties.

Dear My Friend & My Teacher ,
I Think That most of us more than 99% know that the main problem is not in stupid peoples and not in the bad streets that we have in cairo,I think that we - Egyptians - had been brought up on a lot of very bad habits and working with the rule of the forest - the strongest will survive - and i think the next days will prove this and i think you said this there wasn’t any difference at last two day from the beginning of applying this new law.And at the same time we can’t give our opinion on the behaviors of Egyptian peoples after this rule as we still in the third day or fourth .although i don’t expect much more but i expect that there will be good view better that we were have in last period in with the traffic in cairo.But we need to wait one month at least.
So be optimistic but not much more as we are well known that Egyptian won’t apply rules or follow them if and only if they will be punished or pay the fine of breaking the rule .
And i think the problem will be who will evaluate this error as it is well know as you said most of traffic employee need to take money whatever why and how ???
But I’m expecting modification on the behaviors of Egyptian’s drivers !!! YARAB.
BTW .. nice behaviors from you to be like that gentle person in driving but i think you have to be some how like them to can live in cairo without feeling under stress

1) About the law itself, Cairo has been a kind of “earth car moving” from about 5 years, this is not new, also about SAVING your car, this will need extras in everything. When I was in 3rd year secondary, I used to reach Ramsis from my home in Masr El Gedida in 1:30 mins.
2) The law got some feedback from drivers, they began to get afraid and starts to change their way in driving, this thing I’m sure of it.
3) Don’t talk about this step as if it’s the final step in change anything, think about the positive point of any move, try to think about Cigarettes issue in Egypt the last year as an example, although I’m not smoker but it’s all politics, first the price is raised to gain money as expected but the next step illustrates the first step move, they added a very bad picture on any kind, with no change in price.did you think why?
4) The way of driving in Mansoura is completely different than that in Cairo, I’m sure you touched that, but in Mansoura or any other cities the traffic is some how organized, we are the only country having exits on the left side of the road. we don’t have level one road.
5) This law would be great if the street are more organized and the “RASHAWY” are removed from our systems
6) The behavior of people is hard to be changed, the government tried to change it to this way many years ago, all were sleep, don’t wake up now and start talking about what happened, change is needed yes, but not in the way that slow us more, move up to future. btw the government itself can’t change the behavior again to undo, the people reached a dead end.
7) Human Development Science defined what is called “Problem” as, it’s the issue that the traditional behavior refuses it and so as you, BUT you have tried to change it with no respond, also you should think of the positive and negative signs of the issue BUT it doesn’t got you optimistic. it’s not sarab, it’s only the next step.

I liked the new law too,
because i felt and thought that it’ll apply the rules we dream of, instead of the jungle we’re driving in..
but, i found out that the old one also did have so many restrictions but it wasn’t applied at all..
and the changes in the new one that they increased the value of the fare , to collect more and more money as they will from the aid kit and the triangle.
I’m not sure if the law is gonna prevent the stupid people from driving in this aggressive and rude way…
As for myself, sometimes i become afraid of driving specially in Cairo, cuz there’s no respect,
remeber the old jokes about rules of driving, “el booz base” , “elli ye5af 3ala 3arabeto yewasa3″ and so on… i used to laugh when i read them, but it turned out to be sooo true… REALLY TRUE
so, is the new law going to prevent this rules.. can it make the people more calm and smart in their way of driving…
the problem is not only the speed, or the safety belt , maintaining the lanes..
it’s more about the attitude also.
if this new law will make most of wt we complaint of go away, then it’s truely a great one… but i blv there’s no law can change people attitude but themselves..
even so, we can’t stop hoping for the best to happen…

To all who can’t believe that the new law will change sth. I went today to my traffic unit in Rab3a El 3adawya. I was just asking about sth. I found that everything had changed, air conditions, LCD, Carpets, Computers and the most amazing thing is the speakers all over the unit, playing slow and relaxing music.
Can anyone reply to that question, why?
or even the new 4X4 cars having cameras from all sides, why?
about attitude, in my opinion it’s just a matter of time.

Today I had a taxi from my place to Biko’s, when the driver asked me to put the safety belt :D, when I laughed and said “Na3am?!” :D, I was astonished, but I got it when I looked beside and found a passenger in another taxi putting the belt too.
What was really amazing, that the driver received a call, when he parked beside and answered it then he went again..
Umm, seems that the new law is trying to do something new, but will this continue?! I hope so..

BTW, I have an internal feeling that the very few days after the release will effect the long term attitude of drivers.
Egyptian street is hetrogenous street
but we have to confess that the layer of taxi drivers and micro-bus are ruling in the Egyptian street.
Basically, because it’s their’s profession, and that’s the way they like doing their job
But .. Private cars and Gov-owned cars have a large layer too .. in case these 2 layers got affected by these rules .. I think we will have a major effect ..
And finally, I’m repeating the attitude and the Jungle life style .. sometimes I feel that we are not even prepared to change ..
days ago [day or two after that post ] I was in a taxi who has Two different destinations in one trip .. me in the from seat and two country ladies ..
and a conversation started about the new laws and how to apply and the two ladies claimed that the coming “KAMEEN” “committee in the street.. el tagroba el danemarkeya.. ” will ask if we are together or not and el a5 that’s me should say that we are all one trip and we are all together in order fake the “committee”
I remained silent thinking about what I’ll do or say if the officer asked me ..
will I lie to him .. ??
and the driver saved me at the last moment by taking another road around the “KAMEEN”
I’s 100% confused .. to tell the truth, be that aggressive client who affected the driver who already known to be in the very poor layer of this community .. + I’ll be late to my appointment.
to lie and complete my trip and harm the Traffic laws and to be a cousin for the country ladies for 5 minutes ..
and reach my destination on time .. ??

أنا كنت ناوية أعمل بوست مخصوص, بس قولت مالوش ﻻزمة ….
النهاردة كان دوري في المرور, وهحكلكو من أول منزلت من البيت.
كنت ماشية ورا أحمد بالعربية, وﻷني كنت مركزة جدا على عربيته بدأت آخد بالي من مهازل السواقة في مصر.
مافيش حاجة اسمها حارة سير, ومفيش حد بيحافظ على طريقه أكتر من 20 ثانية مثلا , أحمد واللهي كان بيحاول يسلك ويفضل ثابت لدرجة اني حسيت ان العربيات بتمشي كانها دودة
وساعتها اتأكدت ان مافيش أي قانون هيغير الهمجية دي أبدا, ﻻ قانون جديد وﻻ قديم.
الحل الوحيد ان الناس تخلي عندها دم.
الكلام ده الساعة 8:30 , وصلنا المرور و ركنا و فكينا النمر ودخلنا واحنا بنقول يا هادي…
الظابط قلنا عايزين شهادة مخلفات..قلنا ماشي, المفاجأة بقى انها بتتجاب من الدراسة !!!!!!
أنا مرور مدينة نصر, تبعتني الدراسة ليه, أي عقل بيقول كدة ( ده باعتبار وجود العقل اصلا
اللي حرق دمنا فعلا البيه الظابط اللي بنسأله بحسن نيه فين الدراسة, رد بمنتها العنجهية ” الدراسة, اركب للدراسة ”

رحنا الدراسة, وطبعا التعاون سمه مشتركة في الموظفين.
كان فيه راجل كبير جاي برضه من مرور مدينة نصر, لقى مخالفات 200 جنيه, حلفلهم انه جايب العربية زيرو و راكنها قدام البيت, قالولوا تبقى على المالك القديم للنمر, روح بوﻻق هات تخليص لوحات أو حاجه كده, الراجل كان بيشد شعره. أحمد لما شاف المنظر ده قاللي ندفع اللي يقولوا عليه بس ربنا ستر
رجعنا مرور مدينة نصر وكان واضح ان الزحام اشتد….
أنا كنت مشفقه على أحمد عشان العطلة والبهدله دي لتاني مرة مع رحلات المرور المسلية, هو اطمن ان مفيش أوراق زيادة مطلوبة و جري يلحق شغله ..
أنا بقى وقفت وأخدت دوري والحق يقال ان الموضوع فعلا بقى منظم أكتر بس الزحام شديد جدا, على مدخل أسلم أوراقي و على ماستلم الرخصة والنمر…
وقت طويييللل و ممل جدااا
أصل أنا برضه مش فاهمة ليه يزنقوا كل التجديدات في شهر واحد… متوزعوا الناس وارحمونا وارحموا نفسكم…
العقل زينة برضه
الحاجة اللي محتاجة تغيير جذري هي الموظفين اللي بيستحللوا لنفسهم أي مبلغ يتبقى من فلوسك و يبصلك بسماجة ويقوللك كل سنة وحضرتك طيب… ده في شرع مين ده !!!!!
أو يفضل يتسحلب و يقولك ده أنا أخدمك بعيوني, وانت تؤمر وكل الأساليب دي,
واللي بيدفع بيخلص ….

و نفسي ظباط الشرطة دول ميحسوش انهم فوق الشعب ويبطلم يمارسوا أساليبهم المستفزة مع الناس
